1. You don’t have to justify his behavior
If you feel like you are constantly defending his actions, then you might want to reconsider your relationship. If he is treating you right, then you won’t have to defend his stupid mistakes. Your friends and family will support the relationship because they see how well he treats you.
2. He is forgiving
Both of you are going to make mistakes. Chances are you are going to get angry over something really stupid when you’re on your period and possibly blow up for no reason. But if he is willing to forgive you for your weaknesses and dumb moves, then he is worth fighting for. He doesn’t throw them in your face, and he lets things go.
3. If he says he’ll do something, he actually does it
If he says he is going to call you at 10, he calls you at 10. If he promises that he’ll take you out on Friday, he takes you out on Friday. If he stays true to his word, and you can trust that he’ll follow through, he is a keeper.

If he truly loves you, then ultimately, he will want to merge lives with you. That means making plans together. If he talks about the future with you in it, then that’s a pretty good sign that he isn’t looking for a one-night-stand but a lasting, meaningful relationship.
