50 Cent has debuted his new song ‘Smoke’ featuring Trey Songz.
The rapper premiered the music video for the Dr Dre-produced track, and announced that it will be the next song released from his upcoming album Animal Ambition.
50 Cent said: “‘Smoke’ is one of my favourite records off Animal Ambition. It was great to have Dr Dre produce, and Trey added so much to the song.
“I hope my fans enjoy ‘Smoke’ as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Animal Ambition will be the first album released under a new arrangement that saw 50 Cent and his G-Unit record label go independent in February.
The star parted ways with Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records after 12 years, and signed an exclusive worldwide distribution and services agreement with Caroline International, Capital and UMG.
Animal Ambition will be released on June 2, with a new song and video from the album being unveiled each week leading up to the release date.
50 Cent has announced plans to release a follow up record Street King Immortal this autumn.
The star – real name Curtis Jackson – has also signed up to appear as himself in Paul Feig’s upcoming movie Spy.
