People who are in a bad relationship are exposed more to high levels of stress and consequent deregulation of the immune system, thereby increasing the risk to infectious and autoimmune diseases.

2. High blood pressure

According to the past researches worse the relationship, higher the blood pressure. A couple in bad relationship is more prone to high blood pressure because when you are stressed, your blood glucose level rises.

3. Abdominal obesity

The increase of the hormone cortisol from tension contributes to weight gain. Cortisol is actually a stress hormone that is produced by our body in little doses. One of the things it does is balance energy in the body. Cortisol tends to store fat in the abdomen under high amounts of stress.

4. Depression and mood swings

Depression or major mood swings is a sign that you are in a bad relationship. If you constantly feel cranky or sad and you don’t feel like mingling with people around, then it is a sign that your relationship is pushing you towards mental illness.
