If you have a date, you probably take hours to get ready, because you want to look perfect, and of course, you achieve the goal. With hair in place, perfect stroke of the eyeliner, just the right shade of lipstick, a gorgeous dress, and nail paint to match, you are all set to kill with your looks. But, one drink down, the lipstick starts to fade. The more you laugh, the more that eyeliner starts to goup up. And that dress you were super excited about? It slides up when you sit like you’re ready to be taken right there! By the time you wrap up the date, everything is a mess. But, if you keep these things in mind, it doesn’t have to be so…
1. Don’t wear a new dress!
Yes, it’s tempting, but you never know how a new outfit behaves. It might not sit well on your hips, or the hemline might slide up when you walk, or the strap might keep falling. You don’t want to keep fixing the dress all evening, when there are better things to do!
2. Consider skipping those heels
The key is to look sexy, but feel comfortable. Flats do the job just fine. If you are not used to wearing heels, then by the end of the evening, your feet will hurt, and your posture will go haywire. With a slouch, and bent knees, that dress won’t really do much for you!
3. Wear the right lingerie
That lacy push up bra might make you look sexy, but if it pokes into your ribs, those rashes when you take it off a couple of hours later, will turn out to be quite the mojo killer! Remember… sexy, but comfortable.
4. Wear tried-and-tested, good make-up
Date night is not the night to test out that new eye shadow palette you recently bought. You don’t know how the colours will look. Don’t experiment with a new stroke, or a new colour. Go with what you know looks good on you.
5. Keep the hair simple
That waterfall braid you really wanted to try? It’s not for date night. Blow dry your hair, or maybe straighten it, and wear it down. In other words, keep it simple, and with minimal hair product. You might be tempted to do an interesting hairdo, and seal it with hair spray. But give it a few hours, and it will all start falling apart!
The key is to keep things simple. Don’t experiment, and certainly don’t overdo anything. There’s nothing sexier than classy!
