Have you been seeing your guy for long, and yet get a feeling that he is not the right one for you? Have you ever been attracted to other guys, even though you are in a relationship? Have you secretly wished for a life without him? If all these questions have a ‘yes’ as an answer, you might just be with the wrong guy. Here are a few indicators for you to consider that will help you make up your mind about staying in the relationship or calling it quits!
If you do not feel like sharing anything with your boyfriend, then you should definitely give your relationship a second thought. If you have to call your friends to vent your feelings rather than your partner, or if you have to totally abstain from (yes, it is a strong term) sharing anything about your life with him, then surely he is not the one for you!
#2. You have pseudo breakups
If you deliberately pick up a fight, do not speak for weeks, and do not even bother to give him a call to make up with him, then you are no longer sure about your guy. In ‘relationship dictionary’, this is termed as a pseudo breakup; though you make up, you do this quite often. This is a potent indicator that your relationship has run its course and you should just let go, mutually or otherwise.
#3. He talks only when you meet
A conversation is a sure shot sign that two people are opening up to each other, but do you spend quality time talking to your boyfriend? Do you yearn for those quick late-night calls where he just calls to say ‘I love you’? If you are nodding your head, better watch out! Look for cues as to why he does not make any effort to strike a conversation, or why you keep running out of topics?
#4. Some things about him that irritate you
You might have tried very hard to work things out with your guy, but if there are still some habits of his that constantly put you off, then you must understand that he is just not the one for you. Things to look out for are:
He imposes his choices on you.
You cannot be yourself around him.
He is a control freak.
You do not trust him and scan his emails and social networking accounts.
Your long-term goals are incompatible.
You are growing apart and not together.
So, if you cannot be yourself in front of him, then your relationship with him is just not worth your time girls!
