KCCA FC vs Lweza FC

By Robert Kayindi James

The Uganda Premier League secretariat on Wednesday, 27th July released the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) provisional fixture with the topflight kickoff just around the corner.

The released draft covers the entire season unlike in the previous seasons where the initial provisional fixture only catered for the first round of the season. The league is scheduled to kick off on 19th August.

To avoid any inconveniences and unneeded postponement of games that had dominated the previous seasons and were almost becoming a culture, this fixture has been drafted in accordance with the FUFA 2016-2017 Activity Calendar.

In the most notable highlights of the fixtures, some teams have changed home grounds with Vipers SC opting for a currently closed Nakivubo Stadium from Buikwe while KCCA FC have relocated back to their known home of Phillip Omondi stadium that they will be sharing with newly promoted side Proline FC. SC Villa seem to have shifted to Namboole stadium from the heart of Kampala (Nakivubo).
