Uganda’s budding rising Afro-fusion singer real name Rodrick Kanaabi revealed to Chimpreports that he will be sharing different stages with some of the best performing singers not only in the country but globally.
The singer who has turned the heads of many across the globe,is reputable for his feel-good and up-beat sound that has gone viral.
Kapa Boy’s butter-like tone, candid lyricism,and sweet melodies have paved way for an original contemporary spin on his East-African roots.
Recently,the ‘pop star’ as he prefers to be called,teamed up with Nigerian singer Jerry Logo to out such a massive single ‘Talk to Me,’ a hit that has so far received huge airplay in Uganda,Nigeria,Kenya,and Tanzania among others.
The song opens with a tense exchange, where he (Kapa Boy) asks please with a lady to give him chance to show her love and spoil her with romance.
Kapa Boy told our reporter that ‘Talk to Me’ is perfoming and has made him proud including all his fans in Nigeria,Uganda and Kenya among others like the song and encourage him to do more magic.
On his underlying love for music, Kapa Boy said,“It’s the music, everyone’s just connecting with the music. And that’s the most important thing about music, it’s not really about understanding exactly what’s being said, but the feeling it gives you.When you appreciate the feeling, you will at least, learn to pronounce the words.”
