They have been around for over a decade. They have managed to stay relevant in this turbid industry. Year on Year they find a way to get on our lips. They are the Kings and Queens of reinvention. They evolve with the times.

Gaetano

Gaetano was on our lips during the first edition of Big Brother Africa. He was welcomed by the biggest of numbers at the airport. People lined up to have a glimpse of Gaetano. Bebe Cool even composed a song in his honour. He met the President for dinner. Many thought Gaetano would not be around afterwards. Today he is still relevant, hosting a radio and tv show.

Bebe Cool

You can love or hate Bebe Cool but you can’t ignore him. He made news as an artiste who used to step on tables while performing. He then brought Zuena to our faces. Then he was shot. Then he was hit with plastic bottles. But Bebe Cool has managed to never disappear not even for a second from the industry pages. He is Bebe Cool.

Sylvia Owori

You could call her the Madonna of Uganda. There’s not been a single woman in Uganda who has influenced a span of industries. She touched Miss Uganda and it was the event everyone talked about. Then she brought us the African woman magazine. Now she is a presidential adviser of sorts. She’s been around, done it all, yet still relevant.

Sudhir Ruparelia

He has seen rich men come and go. Yet he is still standing. He crosses through rivers of trials and tribulations and always comes out stronger. He is the king of the game. He is the most relevant wealthy personality in Uganda. If you mention money, his name comes first.

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia was named one of the richest man in Africa by Forbes in 2015.

Andrew Mwenda

The motor-mouthed journalist is the father of reinvention. What hasn’t Mwenda done? He personally helped Museveni and Kagame reunite. He singlehandedly broke some of the biggest news stories in this country. And he is the fastest speaker the country has produced. He is a moving library of figures. If you want to know how many kifeesis Uganda had in 1965, he has the data.

How old is Mosh? You can’t tell but dude has been around…and he is still around.

MC Kats

The man doesn’t age. He doesn’t lose relevance. He connects across all age groups. Just when you think he’s done his time, you will see him charming crowds like no one else can…

Besigye

This is self-explanatory. For over 2 decades, Besigye has been around. If you speak of opposition, you speak of Besigye.
