News reaching our desk indicates that Wizkid’s band will jet in a week prior to the show for rehearsals and preparation.
This follows a call the Nigerian superstar recently made to the dynamic duo, Radio and Weasel, wishing them success ahead of their concert to celebrate 10 years in music where he asked that they be present at his show and prepare to hang with him during his stay in the country. Our reliable source also said the star promised the duo that he’d speak to his promoters to have them share the same hotel with him during his stay in Uganda.
Unlike a number of contemporary artistes who lip-sync on concerts, the band perhaps could be an indication of an awesome musical experience from the Nigerian star who recently broke yet another record by being the first African artiste to stage a sold out show at the Albert Hall in London.
Wizkid liaised with the Face TV, the promoters of the show, to make good for last year’s much anticipated show to which he failed to turn up, causing Ugandans to take to social media to express their dissatisfaction over his no-show.
Wizkid will fly into the country on 5th December, according to sources at Face TV. They also said that he has asked Radio and Weasel to look out for nice spots they can shoot some videos during his stay. The concert is slated for Thursday, December 7 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
