It has been an amazing journey that has seen a Ugandan go on to conquer the crown of Africa and become the first ever Africa’s next top model. That Ugandan is none other than Aamito Stacie Lagum. Aamito’s win means that Uganda has now won its first major African competition.
And the feedback could not agree less. One blogger from Nigeria by the name of Donna commented; “I saw it coming, her modelling potential comes naturally.” Judith Heard on the other hand said; “The Day you rocked the runway at my store opening you left me speechless, now you made me proud.”
So what does Aamito get for her win?
Well, Aamito’s win means that she will receive a one-year modelling contract with New York based modelling agency DNA Model Management, a product endorsement deal with P&G, a one-year contact as an ambassador for South African Tourism, SNAPP, Etisalat, Verve, and a cash prize of 50,000 USD.
Supermodel Oluchi Onweagba was the lady behind the search for Africa’s Next Top Model that saw Aamito beat twelve girls from all over Africa to the top prize.
In her own words, Aamito had this to say;
“I AM AFRICA’S FRIST EVER NEXT TOP MODEL!!!! This is a surreal moment in my life and career.
I would first like to thank God, for allowing this path in this journey that I have committedly begun. I would like to thank, super host Oluchi for having paid me any attention.
