Horizon Vibe presenter on UBC TV Calvin Da Entertainer will in October this year celebrate 7 years of working on TV. In a statement released online, the swaggarific presenter revealed how he joined television as an amateur and ended up becoming one of the best in the land.
“Seven years ago very few people knew about me. I’ve kept growing and rediscovering alot about myself and my potential. Many presenters and producers have inspired me, many have come and gone but guess what? I feel blessed that am still relevant and still with the same passion to serve.” He said.
The 27 year old presenter and music producer thanked UBC TV for giving him a platform. “I want to thank UBC TV for offering me the platform to shine, earn and upgrade from just a presenter hosting the best Urban musical show in the land to an entertainment producer and of course having the opportunity of working with great experienced key players in the media industry.” He added.
The award winning TV star didn’t forget his fans who have shown consistent support through the years. “The best award is the fans and great friends I’ve made over the years. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to my career in any way. The love, the ‘disses’, the kisses ideas. All this has shaped me into a better and descent person that some even look up to.” He concluded.
Calvin joined UBC in 2008, he auditioned and emerged winner out of 80 participants. He started presenting a seven minute show called Horizon Vibe News. After this, it was stretched to 25 minutes, a few months later, he came up with the Horizon Vibes master plan. He wasnt being paid, except for facilitation.
