In the race of android phones change rate is very high, thus to survive in this race users may have to change their android phone frequently. When you have change to a new android phone then getting your contacts, calender data etc may not be a problem because of Google sync, thanks to Google. But it may be a real problem when you want to transfer whatsapp chat history, photos, voice chat data from old phone to new phone . The problem persists because whatsapp doesn’t stores chat history to their online database, instead of this they save those information to your device memory or SD card. I have solved this problem, and it could be done in some few easy steps.
Step 1.
Whatsapp generally backups all your conversation and related files to your SD card at 4:00 am, but for those devices doesn’t have a SD Card slot, whatsapp stores files to their relevant device storage.
So, at first go to file manager,I have used X-plore file manager. Then you have to find for the backup folder named ‘whatsapp‘.
Step 2.
After this connect your old phone to your PC or laptop ,and copy the folder named whatsapp to your PC to transfer whatsapp chat history to your PC.
Step 3.
Now install whatsapp on your new android mobile, and setup whatsapp on your new mobile.
Step 4.
Now on your new phone, goto Setting > Apps > whatsapp, and select clear data. All application database, files will be cleared.
Step 5.
After this connect your new android phone to the computer via media storage mode, now seek for the folder ‘whatsapp’ on your new android device. After you got the folder, replace that folder with the old one(backup of old phone), this will transfer whatsapp chat history to your new android device.
Step 6.
Now open whatsapp, enter your phone number, whatsapp will prompt that a backup has been found and will ask you to restore, click on restore. Every thing of your old phone should be restored. Now enjoy whatsapp with all your conversation history.
