After last week’s post by Tarrus Riley about the cancellation of his much anticipated show that was supposed to be held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on December 1, news reaching us confirms that the show has been rescheduled to March, next year.

According to Director of RedFog, Charles Basajja, the Just the way you are hitmaker was requested to move the show because the key sponsors felt they needed more time to promote the event adequately.

“Our sponsors remain fully committed to making the show happen, as so is Tarrus Riley, so we are looking forward to bringing him to Kampala next March and to giving Ugandans a concert experience they will never forget,” he said.

Tarrus Riley wrote in a Facebook post last week that he was looking forward to performing in Uganda. “I have waited my entire career and it was like a dream come true to play in Kampala,” part of the post stated.

RedFog confirmed the concert programme will remain unchanged and the March 2018 event will still feature Ugandan reggae maestro Maddox Sematimba, a surprise act and Uganda’s best Reggae DJs as had been planned.

“We are excited about having Tarrus in Kampala and we promise to make his dream of coming to Uganda a reality,” Mr Basajja added, confirming that RedFog’s booking agency is in touch with Riley’s team.

He has released his first ever song entitled “Formula” on which he features Ugandan singer Sheebah Karungi and Ghanaian star Magnom.

Sources close to the deejay have intimated to us that this not a one off and  we should expect more music from the deejay.

It should be noted that deejays collaborating with established musicians is the in-thing lately. Other local deejays to have released their own songs include DJ Ciza, Dj Roja & Slick Stuart among others.
