Saturday night was a great one for Big Music entertainment headed by StarBoss Big Eye after they hosted fans to a mega “Nkuziniremu-Self Contained” concert. The concert took place at Hotel La Grande in Bwaise.

Starting as early as 7pm, artistes started storming the stage one after the other as their fans danced to their tunes. By 9pm, it was a full house at the hotel and even more music and comedy was unleashed on revelers. Some artistes were seen fighting to get on stage as there were very many artistes who had turned up. Event manager Dixon Okello had to do his best to contain the situation.

Things got even better when music power houses like De Nu Eagle’s singing couple, Geoffrey Lutaya and his beautiful wife Irene Namatovu took to the stage. More artistes like Mikie Wine who even sampled us his new song that was well received followed and by 11pm, things had gotten really groovy. Bobi Wine showed up on stage in total splendor as revelers screamed their love for him as loud as they could. Using the live band, he sang his heart out for the crowd.

Bobi Wine even took some time to thank StarBoss Big Eye, the man of the day, for staying true to himself and being able to attract such a big crowd. “I knew him when he was starting out,” he said. “I am thankful that he has remained on the path and now I can perform at a concert when he is the main artiste.”

Chameleone, Gravitty Omuttuju, Mesach Semakula, Nutty Neithan, Mary Bata all did their best to keep revelers happy until about 1:05am when it was time for StarBoss Big Eye to show what he had in store for fans.

Emerging from a hotel balcony on the first floor of Hotel La Grande, StarBoss made his way down to the stage donning a classy white outfit and a black t-shirt. He spared no time as he immediately started singing for his fans when he got on stage, even the rain that was threatening to fall seemed to have been mesmerized by his music that it let up.

He took some time off to introduce his parents who were in the audience. He let his mother and father know how he loves them so much saying; “If it was not for you, I wouldn’t be here and of course all these beautiful fans of mine would not be here too. Thank you so much for making me.”

More music followed as StarBoss sang most of his hit songs such Indicator, Mango Juice, Self-Contained and finally Nkuziniremu. My personal favourite, Tusasana was never sang. Special thanks were given to his team, fans, parents, manager Stuart who managed to put together such a spectacular concert and the sponsors MTN Uganda, BBS Terefiyina, NBS, ABS, Sure deal among others.

At about 2 am, the curtains pulled down on the concert and it was a good night from Big Music and StarBoss Big Eye.
