Centrally to what most fans have been saying, Female Artiste of the year, Sheebah Karungi, didn’t sing Wantama for Pallaso. The singer revealed the meaning behind the song and to the disappointment of many who love drama, it has got nothing to do with the Bullet proof CEO and her former music partner Pallaso. She said that it is an ordinary song like most of her songs and was sang for women who are battered by their men on a daily.
“Wantama is a song that was written for me by Diamond Oscar. It is just like any other song and the lyrics were inspired by how women are treated by their husbands in marriage,” she started.
She then added that women are not appreciated and she felt that the message had to come out strong. “Women go into marriage to stay for long but a man stops appreciating her, mistreats and cheats on her, so when she decides to leave, he comes back pleading only to find she’s long gone,” she added.
