Seanice Kacungira will do her last Sanyu FM show this week as she concludes her radio career. The Tusker Twende Kazi contestant and Blufalmingo CEO who has been in the radio business for over 10 years revealed the sad news on her facebook page. She had been at the Crane Chambers based station for close to five years.
She has on several occasions threatened to resign particularly because of what she called “tasteless jokes” by fellow presenter Fat Boy.
“I really did not want to do one of those long status messages that seem to go nowhere and announce to the whole world that a career spanning over a decade is coming to an end. It seemed self-Indulgent and narcissistic to me, And I am very private with my innermost feelings … then I realized that it wasn’t about me… it was about paying my respects and being grateful, about being honestly and sincerely thankful with humility for every single person that deigned to find me even remotely interesting or humorous.” Seanice posted on her wall.
“This is just a message to say that for everyone who never messaged me but did appreciate me. Thank you for the messages, tweets, whatsapps and phone calls saying best of luck in your future endeavors I receive the blessings and to say that this status is dedicated to you. For allowing me to find my voice.” She added. Seanice went ahead to thank her critics a.k.a haters for helping her make it. She has been doing the morning show alongside Fatboy aka James Onen since 2010.
