Sports Club Villa recorded their first win of the season against Jinja based side Bul fc as they edged them 1-0 in the first leg of the Uganda Cup semi-finals at Kakindu stadium in Jinja on Sunday evening.

A first half strike from Denis Kamanzi was enough to sink the Uganda Premier League bulls. Villa now hold the advantage ahead of the return leg that will be played next weekend on 3rd May, 2015.

The victory was Villa’s first of the season against Bul fc after settling for two draws with the Jinja side in their home and away fixtures of the Azam Uganda Premier League that ended 1-1 and 2-2 at Kakindu and Nakivubo stadiums respectively.

Just like rivals KCCA, Villa have won the annual competition eight times so far while Bul fc are yet to test its victory.
