It’s with no doubt that Sasha Vybz is currently one of Uganda’s best and most respected video makers having started his career down in South Africa. Sasha has produced several videos that have received tremendous appreciation from the consumers and a vote of thanks, however some few elements seem to keep eluding him.
It has been noticed that Sasha almost always has a negative element that people will always point out in his videos all the time take an example of No Offence video by Sheebah and Beenie Gunter which most critics say was a bit lacking, pointing out he could have done better with the coloring.
And when it comes to Pallaso and Spilla’s new video for their song “Ntwala”, despite the good picture quality and some what good art, theĀ video maker borrowed, let me put it this way, stole a plugin and used it in the video. To a lay man, it goes with out saying that it’s a fantastic video but to people who understand video mechanics, this was a shame.
From seconds 25 to 30, Sasha, whom I guess is the editor of this very video, used an unsubscribed to video plugin called Film Impact Demo and this ‘killed’ the video. The video may get played on local TV but when it comes to the international scene it would look ridiculous to have such video presented to MTV for air play or any nominations because they would really look down at the maker as an amateur.
However, Sasha can still rectify that by changing or removing that part the unsubscribed plugin was used.
