Before the fame, Irene Ntale used to be a humble and church loving girl. She even partook in several church activities including singing in the choir. During her active days in Church, she also mastered how to play a guitar. But why did she abandon the church for secular music?
The singer who broke out with the hit single, ‘Love Letter’, which featured Bebe Cool has revealed that she quit church because it was very hard for her to follow her passion owing to the many restrictions in church.
In a recent interview, the ‘Nkubukinze’ singer revealed that in church she would only have to do gospel music yet she is more comfortable singing love songs.
She continued to say, “everyone needs love in their lives be it pastors; they are married men and when they are in their bedrooms with their spouses, they listen to our love songs, which they call secular music.”
Irene Ntale has belted out several love ballads like; Gyobera, Nkubukinze, Stay With Me, Love Letter among other songs.
