After cancelling most of their events this year for fear of boycott, pressure just keeps on mounting on the Tubonga Nawe artistes as opposition leader, Kizza Besigye has also called for boycott of all their events.
In a press conference held today by opposition party – FDC, Kizza Besigye called on masses to boycott all pro-Musevenis and ‘his’ artistes as one of his defiance campaigns.
“If they (Tubonga Nawe artistes) come to a function, you all leave. If they play a Chameleone song when you are in the taxi, you leave.” Besigye told media.
The former party president also went on to declare a stay-home Thursday, starting this week.
“Starting this Thursday we will not be going to work every Thursday of the week, and we call upon all Ugandans who voted for Dr Kizza Besigye to stay home that day,” Besigye added.
The statement of a stay home Thursday has however stimulated mixed emotions from even FDC diehards as many claim that Besigye is a rich man who won’t be affected by staying home unlike the biggest percentage of Ugandans who work for a monthly pay.
