Mr. Tasty is one the various chicken restaurants operating in Ntinda, a bustling Kampala suburb. Located on Semawata road, opposite Tuskys supermarket, other fast food operators, Chicken Tonite, Crazy Chicken are close in the vicinity but Mr. Tasty stands out for its spacious compound, children play area, and largely spacious interior.
However , the “tasty” experience seems not to be coherent with the way business is conducted at the restaurant.
The menu displays on two large flat screen TV strategically placed near the counter. There are various couches , tables and stools.
On the day we paid a visit, it was lunchtime however, the place was largely empty save for a few people making rounds to the counter and walking off with their order.
CUSTOMER CARE:
At Mr. Tasty, the waiters are either too busy to attend to clients sitting in the restaurant or it is a policy that customers must walk to the counter to place an order. I sat for close to 15 minutes and nobody seemed bothered by my presence. They simply looked on not until I made my way to the counter despite the low number of customers.
THE MENU:
Chicken, burgers, chicken pilau reign on the menu. All food like most popular chicken joints, are served with coca cola products. Food deliveries are made for those who make an order above 25k. Most clients walk in and out with their food, a total waste of such a great space! There is discount at lunch. The pilau I settled for cost a cool 13k however, the curry in it!! You must be Indian to enjoy! Food prices are not so pocket friendly either.
AMBIENCE:
Lovely setting killed by poor customer care! Great for children and families.
