Bebe Cool recently signed on for a campaign to educate the girl child. This was after he met with the US Ambassador to Uganda Scott H. DeLisi with whom they discussed how to build a better future for the youth among other things.
“Bebe Cool joined us last week at our Peace Corps Swearing-in as one of Peace Corps’ Let Girls Learn Ambassadors,” Scott said.
“Then today he stopped by the Embassy to discuss in more detail his commitment to building a better future for young Ugandans. We also discussed ways that the music industry can help not only create opportunities for talented new artists but become part of a new Uganda ‘brand’,” he added.
“Bebe understands that his celebrity can be used to inspire, to lead, and to make a difference — as he does with his own organization, 52 Kids. I hope we’ll be able to continue to work with him and other artists in our always growing range of partnerships here in Uganda,” he concluded.
