To many, Fools Day is celebrated more than Christmas Day and the likes. People stare at the clock and when it chimes midnight April 1st, hell breaks loose; the alive are pronounced dead, the impotent get pregnant, the rich get richer, of course. The poor get rich, for the first time. So, NTV joined the queue and pranked its viewers. It unveiled new hosts of their daily Morning@NTV show. Unusual faces lit up the screen.
Capital FM’s duo, Flavia Tumusiime and Val Oketcho were part of the setup for Fools Day as they suited up to present the show. It was quite a pleasant spectacle to see the bubbly Flavia and her curvy self on TV more especially in this sturborn chilly weather. She slotted in well, like she has been doing this for a long time. Save for the Sports segment, joining Aisha on the desk, Flavia looked like a fish out of water; clueless and out of her depth. However, Val Oketcho, quite a first timer on TV, wasn’t as bad; he was effortless. He didn’t try too hard to sound like Brian Mulondo. Neither did Flavia sound like Mable Kebirungi. All was fine. Another entrant on the show was tech guru, Michael Niyitegeka who replaced Simon Kasyate on the Big Issue.
