Jamal is the musical FIDA. He fights women’s wars, always showering females with praises. He bounced on the scene with his heroic Abakyala Bazira, which went down as a soundtrack to every hardworking and non-hardworking woman.
At some point, he was the hottest property on the musical scene, staging a solo concert in the process. And one day, as the rules of life, he sunk in oblivion. He struggled as an upcoming artiste. He struggled as though he didn’t have a monster hit at some point. He was completely forgotten, dead-beat broke and musically dead. He is back, it seems. If his new song is anything to go by.
The ballader came back with Siste. What a song! Jamal’s vocals were rich in this and have always been. The song has such a calming effect to it. Whatever Siste means, it surely is a beautiful song. A cliché type that etches itself in every girl’s heart. A kind of song you kick back and listen to after a long day at the grind and you feel reinvigorated because, come on, the soothing vocals of Jamal are hard to go unnoticed. And the lazy instrumentation is akin to a steady drum-beat in the backdrop of a poetry recital. It is good for the soul.
