Just imagine the dancehall music galacticos. A song that merges talents from crème de le crème of Ugandan dancehall music. Imagine not, because Am Lovin’ is that kind of song. New entrant Apass, here, brings forth his baritone voice and joins it with Cindy’s who, if you ask me, sits at the apex of dancehall music. She is Uganda’s Alaine, if I may put it. This is an alright song. For the common dancehall lover, you might pull out your ears in hysterical fervor. You might lose your legs. You might lose your voice. Or senses. Or breathe. Because Am Lovin’ will render you to love it.
It is a kind of song you would dance to even when your legs have sunk underneath you, say, you’re too weary and knackered to slap a fly off your skin. This song will magically lift you off your seat and you will dance as though you’re possessed. I will give credit to the producer of this track. He chose the right beat; a seemingly awesome beat with a somewhat lazy tempo, but good enough to feed the voices on the track. Apass does what he is capable of doing, at least what is renowned to do lately. This kid is flexible. And it can be noticed in the track. There is the way he changes his voice, but still manages to delicately come off nicely and that, friends, is one thing that makes him stick out of the innumerable hordes of people. He is that good. And he is the hottest property lately. Cindy offers that melodic voice of hers; melodic, rich and a tad vibrant which makes the song even better. However, I never saw the essence of Don MC. To me, he never showed up on the day. He seems irrelevant as though he is lounging away, but speaking to himself. Besides that, am loving this song. I’m lovin’ it.
