Twinkle star singer Khalifah Aganaga also known as Mukiibi Sadat is out of hospital following a nasty road accident that he was involved in a week ago along Arua-Kampala road a week ago.

The young musician known for his ‘Ndabirawa’ song was pulled out of the wreckage by his fans when the accident occurred. He was then rushed to Nakasongola hospital and later taken to Nsambya hospital where he got proper treatment.

According to his manager, he left hospital and he is now doing fine. “Khalifah is now safe and doing well. He has healed from the injuries he sustained and he is feeling better,” said Emma Carlos, the CEO of Twinkle star agency and official manager of talented Kalifah.

Sadly, his manager is still experiencing some pains due to the accident. “I had to go back to hospital today just to double check that everything is alright. I was feeling some chest pains. But I am okay,” Emma said in a phone interview.

Kalifah who returned to school recently is now preparing for classes at Makerere University this academic year and has put the nasty experience behind him.

We shall keep you posted.

The Rwandan duo of Charly Na Nina have had reasonable success in the music industry, most of which they have to thank Uganda for.

I mean, they have made some great music with Ugandan artists like Geo Steady who worked with them on “Owooma.” ,Bebe Cool who featured them on his jam,”I do” among others .They have also worked with Ugandan producers and won hearts of the Ugandan music audience.

It seems Charlotte  Rulinda and Fatuma Muhoozi  have fallen in love with Uganda, plan to get married to the banana Republic and set up home here, which also makes sense since they have heard a few issues back home after recently parting ways with their manager.

The two have reportedly been living in Makindye, Kampala for the better part of this year and  are working on more music in Uganda.

Former Blu 3 member and self proclaimed dance hall queen ,Cindy Sanyu has come out to critic some areas of the current music industry saying that people who cannot sing are getting massive airplay only because their pockets are heavy.

She says it is not about talent anymore unlike back in the day where musicians had to work so hard to earn their place at the top of the music industry in Uganda.

“Unlike before, in the current music industry anyone can sing as long as they have money to pay for airplay. It’s no longer about talent. These days It’s easy to find a musician who can’t sing (live), can’t write or play any instrument but when their music is at the top. All one does is to pay for airplay,”she said.

“We had to compete against the likes of Juliana Kanyomozi, Irene Namubiru among others to earn our respect. But not anymore. Music is now about paying for airplay…not talent anymore.”
