KCCA knock defending champions URA out of the Uganda Cup

In the only game of the round of 32 in the Uganda Cup, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) knocked out defending champions Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) in a 2-1 victory at Mehta Stadium in Lugazi.

Young talent William Wadri and Tom Masiko were on the score sheet for the ‘Kasasiro Boys’ while Moses Ali Feni scored the only consolation for the ‘Tax Collectors’.

Having progressed to the next stage of the competition, the Uganda Premier League defending champions KCCA will play Ndejje University in Luwero for their round of 16 fixture to fight for a slot in the quarter finals of the annual competition.

The Uganda Cup Round of 16 action continues today with Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) hosting Kirinya/Jinja S.S. (a Buganda regional side) at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole while Bul fc entertain Masavu fc at Kakindu Stadium.

Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars will face off with Paidha Black Angels at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.
