Dave Kazoora Junior commonly known as JK was on Thursday last week arrested in Rwanda for fraud and tax evasion amounting to shs120m. JK, former Jam Agenda presenter on WBS Tv cum flamboyant businessman handed himself over to Rwanda Police on Thursday evening after they (Rwanda Police) threatened to track him down using Interpol for failure to honour the countless summons that he was sent.
He is presently detained at Kachiru Police as he awaits court appearance this afternoon. JK, with his Rwanda partner Davis Genza, under their Buddies Production Rwanda Ltd won a deal from Airtel Rwanda to do a countrywide campaign code named Birahebuje One. After the successful campaign that was contracted between 2012 1nd 2013at 80m Rwanda Francs (an equivalent of shs320m), JK didn’t pay taxes.
Rwanda CID sent summons to Kazoora which went unheeded for long. After they threatened to involve Interpol, Kazoora handed himself over for fear of losing the Airtel Uganda contract. Under his Buddies TV, Kazoora is presently running Airtel Uganda’s Bifuna Kilalu campaign.
