The Kampala Color Fun Run is a thrilling and fun filled color experience that is less about talent and more about having the time of your life. It is a five kilometer un-timed race in which thousands of participants or ‘Color Runners’ are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. There are only two rules in this event; First wear white at the starting line, and secondly, finish in plastered colors.
The Kampala Fun Run targets all Ugandans and will happen on Entebbe streets with the climax of celebrations at the UWEC Zoo. The proceeds will help UWEC put up a cat center at Entebbe Zoo. The Ugx 200 million project will enable the visitors to have more interaction with the cats that include 4 lions, 2 cheetahs, 1 leopard and the 1 Serval cat.
Bobi Wine, DJ Roja and Slick Stuart will lead an array of top entertainers that will perform at the UWEC beach. The event slated for 6th December will begin at 10am and go on till late.
The tickets for the color run are now on sale at all Cafe Javas and Nakumatt Centres in Kampala and Entebbe. The charges for the event are Ugshs 20,000 for adults and Ugx 10,000 for kids.
