Uganda has got another nominee in the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA). Singer Jose Chameleone who has been nominated for the Evolutionary Award joins fellow singer Bebe Cool on the list of this year’s nominees.
According to MTV Base Africa, the MAMA Evolution category comprises of the most iconic and influential African artists of the past decade. The #MAMAEvolution award seeks to honour established artists who have made an indelible mark on African and global music culture.
The “Wale Wale” singer will battle with several top artistes on the continent like 2Face (Nigeria), Anselmo Ralph (Angola), Asa (Nigeria), Black Coffee (South Africa), D’Banj (Nigeria), Fally Ipupa (DRC), HHP (South Africa), P-Square (Nigeria) and Samini (Ghana).
