Have you ever seen Uganda through the lens? You should. Captivating and penetratingly beautiful. A true definition of the Pearl of Africa.
Now, a group of enthusiastic Instagrammers have taken it upon themselves to showcase Uganda through the lens under a #KoiKoiUg tagline. The first Insta-walk was held yesterday (Sunday) from KCCA Katale Stage.
The Instagrammers, armed with their cameras and smartphones, trekked around towards the Gadaffi Mosque, taking pictures in the process and uploading them on their respective Instagram accounts. Notable faces that ducked right into the great trek included: Power FM’s Becky Nantale, Sanyu FM’s Shalom Kalule, Tonic’s Colin Asiimwe, renowned art/creative director Kreative Adikt, et al.
It is a good, positive initiative out to showcase Uganda’s beauty and what makes us Ugandan. This week’s theme is My Hood where folks will take pictures of where they stay, the culture around them, the unique features of what makes them stand out like sore thumbs, et al.
The adventure is fun-filled carrying with itself a good cause. This will take place for the next 10 weeks. The pictures with most likes will walk away with goodies as well. Take a picture. Will you?
Here are some of the photos.
