The Inaugural Uganda HipHop Awards Announced

Ug Hip-Hop Awards

Finally! Ugandan HipHop artistes will be recognized for their contribution to the growth of the local music industry. This after the inaugural Uganda HipHop Awards were recently announced.  The awards are a brainchild of The Tribe Ug, an online platform promoting Ugandan hip-hop run by Felix Byaruhanga and Mubanza Haggai.

According to The Tribe Ug, the awards seek to recognize the accomplishments of the Ugandan Recording Industry by celebrating groups and individuals who have excelled in the past year.

The awards will reward hip-hop talent in 22 categories with the nominees set to be announced on 1st October, 2016.
