Fyonna Nsubuga, a Ugandan artiste living in the UK has accused Bukkede TV presenter Fifi Da Queen of stealing her song. She made the accusations in a long statement posted on social media. Read it below.
“I would like to bring to your attention the theft and infringement of my newly released song titled ESAAWA.
This song is fully owned by me and it’s rights have been infringed by a Vision Group worker Fifi Da Queen. She has forcefully taken my song and re-voiced it even after being told, that it was mine and forged a receipt of 900k with an agreement to claim that she paid for the song. In the song Fifi imitated my voice to make herself sound like me so she can confuse my followers. She recorded her version last week the week that started 5/01/15 after warnings from different people including her close friends.
My version was composed and recorded last year in August 2014 alongside other songs that are not out yet while I was still in Uganda. ESAAWA song was originally written by myself (Fyonna Nsubuga) and co-written by Dim Denis Bitone and Lil Puzzle. I am just an artist who is up against a Tv presenter threatening to use her position to frustrate my music career but shall continue to fight for what is mine. I have therefore decided to fly back to Uganda next week to give evidence and to protect what rightfully belongs to me.
I apologise to all my fans, entire media world and the public in general about this unfortunate issue”.
