The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) disciplinary committee has lifted the suspension on FUFA Super League Chairman Hajji Abbas Kaawaase Mukasa during a meeting yesterday that was presided over by Mr. Geoffrey Odur Ojok at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala.
Kaawaase was suspended and summoned to the FUFA disciplinary committee after he wrote a letter that was aimed at suspending the FUFA Azam Uganda Premier League until further notice, a move that was a way beyond his command.
“The Suspension of Hajji Abas Kaawaase is lifted pending the final decision of the committee,” reads a committee ruling statement on the federation’s website,www.fufa.co.ug.
The committee also passed that the league fixtures continue as planned without any interruptions.“The league fixtures should not be tampered with in any way. The matches should be played without any interruptions,” the committee ruled.
The committee will seat today, 3rd March, 2015 to further discuss the matter.
