American musician French Montana has started a fundraising campaign geared towards improving health services in Uganda.
This comes after he visited Suubi Health Clinic, a local community health centre located in Budondo, Iganga district while he was in the country to shoot his “Unforgettable” video in March this year.
It is here that he learned about challenges of the local people, especially new moms and babies, and committed to helping them.
The American star has announced that he has donated $100K (about UGX36o million) to Suubi Health Centre and also launched a dance challenge to raise more funds towards improving health services in Uganda.
According to the hospital management, the donation will go towards purchase of ambulances, premature incubators, cribs and building a blood bank and maternity clinic for the local community.
Suubi Health Clinic is under Mama Hope, a community organisation whose mission is to support global entrepreneurship as a path to ending extreme poverty.
