CECAFA: Uganda 1-0 Burundi
Uganda Cranes has edged passed Burundi to ensure a quarter final place in the prevailing CECAFA senior challenge cup in Ethiopia.
In a hard fought encounter which took place this evening at the Hawasa National Stadium, team captain Farouk Miya set up a beautiful ball for second half substitute Frank Kalanda in the 70th minute who finished it up with a wonderful strike to seal off Uganda’s group stages with a much needed win
The ‘cranes’ who have won this cup for over 13 times finished top of Group B with 6 points and will now be waiting for the quarter final draws to see whom they are facing next
