It was yet another poor performance exhibited by the defending champions KCCA fc as they were thrashed 3-0 by Express fc at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo yesterday in the Azam Uganda Premier League.

KCCA fans were left in dissapointment as their team suffered a second consecutive defeat in the league for the first time in the season having fallen 2-0 to Vipers last week on Friday.

Despite a virgin first half, Express fc managed to see off the Kasasiro boys having come into this game on the back of losing to Kiira Young by 2-1 last week.

After recess, the visitors managed to take the lead in the 59th minute through John Semanzzi before Isaac Sserunkuma doubled the Red Eagles’ lead in the 80th minute. Julius Ogwang was the last man on the score board as he sealed Express’ 3-0 win over the reigning champions.

The yellow boys will be back in action on Sunday, May 3rd when they take on Lweza in the return leg of the Uganda Cup semi-finals at Wankulukuku.

KCCA XI: Benjamin Ochan (GK), Isaac Ntege, Simon Namwanja, Sakka Mpiima (C), Timothy Awani, Rogers Lukwiya (Yasin Mugume), William Wadri (Baker Lukooya), Paul Mucureezi, Tom Masiko, Owen Kasule and Herman Wasswa.
