Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has revealed that people who will attend his Best of Bebe Cool concert on August 8 will be using an electronic financial card, setting a precedent as the first of its kind in the country.
One of the pioneers in Uganda’s modern contemporary music industry, Bebe Cool, will be holding his first concert at the upmarket Serena Hotel as he shifts his target audience.
“This show targets the high end audience. We believe Serena is the safest and organised place for such an audience. Am doing this show for the fathers and mothers who can’t come to place where we have been holding our shows,” Bebe Cool told journalist while launching the show on Tuesday.
Bebe Cool together with the show sponsors SMSone unveiled the electronic ticket which will be used at the Serena show. The ticket can only be bought at Serena Hotel reception.
The ticket is hard to duplicate and will help in managing crowd control at the five star hotel and other shows that will be held in Mukono and Ggaba Beach.
“This kind of ticket is the first in the country, people who will come to the show will swipe their cards into the system and the money will automatically be deducted from the financial card. Its more like an ATM, my fans will keep the card for other financial transactions as long as they load money onto the card,” Bebe revealed.
The singer also said the concert will have no curtain raisers because people come to watch Bebe Cool not other people, however, he said he will have artistes with whom he has done duets.
