Thousands of fans and music lovers stormed Jahaz Pier Munyonyo on Saturday Night (16th December 2017) to attend Eddy Kenzo’s long awaited 2017 concert dubbed “Eno Jubilation Concert Live2017”.
Fans started arriving at the venue as early as 2:00 PM and by 8:00 PM, the venue was fully packed as everyone waited for Kenzo to step on stage.
At 10:00pm, he finally stepped on stage in a pranking way. He was full of energy which sometimes toned down into calmness. He kicked off his song with a cultural group and later fused into his song Balumba. In the first session he did over 25 songs with hits like Kyo Missinga, Ogenda Kunzisa, Stress Free, Nice And Lovely, Mbilo Mbilo, Abatusabila, Bela clear, Dagala, Sembera eno, Come over, Ndi byange, Zivuga, Royal, Soraye, Terera, Sore na Ngato, kamunguluze, among others, While on stage, he was joined by over 8 different dance groups that gave an outstanding performance.
Before going into his first break, Kenzo was joined by his baby Mama “Rema” on stage and this aroused excitement from the crowd. During the break, Top Artists came on stage that included Rema Namakula, Hamonize from Tanzania, Fille, Radio and Weasel and the likes of Kalifah Aganaga.
At midnight sharp Eddy Kenzo kicked started his second session with a kadongo Kamu Kamagineti followed by collaborations like Yanimba, Tompana, Kapande and then went back to singles that included Nategede, sumbusa, super power, oba muyaye, kiri Dancy, Nze asinga, Sitya loss, Jambole, Zoom Zoom, Neyaniza, shauri Yako, Zigido etc While on stage, there was an act about slavery in Africa and after ended the show with a non stop performance with Jubilation closing the show to make a total of over 45 songs in one night on the same stage that left his fans yearning for more.
