Urban Television gossip queen Mary Luswata has revealed that her mother hates her Scoop on Scoop TV show. Mary said that she is baffled by the fact that many people have fallen in love with her show, except her mother who should be supporting her like all mothers usually do.
“My mother hates this show, she keeps calling and begging me to quit. But she also knows that I’m old enough to make good decisions and this is the career I have chosen. I cannot pull out now,” Mary said in a recent interview.
Mary who recently had a fight with former Blu*3 singer Jackie Chandiru for attacking her mum also said that her mother controls her life a lot and still finds the show a total turn off.
“My mum has a lot of power over me; for example she kept calling and insisted that I make things right with Judith Heard. We were not talking for a while so I decided to call Judith and apologise; and then she goes off about me bowing to the queen, she should know she has my mother to thank for that apology,” Luswata added while referring to the incident when she apologized to Judith Heard.
The controversial TV star has not had a good relationship with her mother since childhood. The mother left her when she was in Primary school and went abroad. “She only retuned when I was in my second year pursuing tourism at Campus,” Mary says.
This is a rare occurrence if you asked me, mothers are always supportive of their daughters especially if it’s something to do with a job that will bring in a pay cheque at the end of the month.
Some have argued that the mother could be right in refusing to endorse her daughter’s show given the fact that the amount of gibberish that Mary utters on every episode is astonishing. Even fans wonder who could have given birth to a girl that speaks so much about everyone and leaves no stone unturned. “If I was the one who gave birth to that ka girl, I don’t know what I would do to her,” said an angry Zari fan recently while referring to Mary Luswata.
