With just a fort-night left for the Uganda Cranes to kick off their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifiers Campaign, Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named his 25 man provisional squad that will be preparing for Uganda’s first clash in group E.
The Uganda Cranes will open their campaign against Ghana on the 6th of September in an away match to West Africa and will host Guinea at home at the Mandela Nation Stadium just four days after their away trip to Ghana on 10th September.
The 25 man squad that was named yesterday during the weekly press conference at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala will immediately start preparations for those first two group stage games. The Cranes start their training on Monday. Emma Okwi of Yang Fc, Joseph Ochaya of Asante Kotoko and Daniel Serunkuma of Gor Mahia have been left out of the squad.
Among the named players are, Denis Masinde Onyango, Geoffrey Massa, Moses Oloya and Yunus Sentamu who missed the tie against Mauritania in Uganda’s last game of the preliminary stage due to club commitments. Portugal based Alex Kakuba (EstouriaFC), Martin Kiiza (Tusker FC) and goalkeeper Brian Bwete (Muhorini Youth) have also made it to the list.

Defenders: Dennis Guma, Isaac Isinde, Andy Mwesigwa, Savio Kabugo, Kassaga Richard, Alex Kakuba, Kiiza Martin and Walusimbi Godfrey
Midfielders: Khalid Aucho, Godfrey Baba Kizito, Mawejje Tony, Miya Farouk, Brian Majwega, Oloya Moses, Kizito Luwagga, Kyambadde Allan
Strikers: Kiiza Hamis, SsentongoRobert, Sentamu Yunus Junior,Umony Brian, Massa Geoffrey.
