At a very exclusive party in Bugolobi recently, Coke Studio Africa was launched. The music TV show that features the best Ugandan acts joined by African stars will go on air on Saturday night on NTV Uganda at 8pm.
This year’s show was recorded before a live audience and promises to deliver even more unique and exciting musical fusions by popular artists from across Africa.
“Music is a universal language and key expression of all emotions including happiness. As the universal icon of happiness, we seek to spread joy on the continent through musical fusion and artist collaboration,” said Ahmed Rady, marketing director, Coca-Cola Central East and West Africa.
The artiste line-up for season two includes Kenyan musicians Fena Gitu, Rabbit, Victoria Kimani and Jay A; Ugandan acts Navio, Jackie Chandiru and Lillian Mbabazi; Joh Makini, Shaa, Diamond and Vanessa Mdee from Tanzania; Flavour Nabania, Omawumi, Waje, Burna Boy, Chidinma, Olamide, Iyanya, Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade and Phyno from Nigeria; as well as Mozambique’s Neyma, Jose Valdemiro and Marllen.
