Ivan Ssemwanga's vigil held in South Africa

They won’t let fallen city socialite and tycoon, Ivan Ssemwanga rest in peace.

According to new reports coming in, a city lawyer has petitioned the high court to have Ivan Ssemwanga’s grave dismantled after he was buried with several notes of money that were littered in his grave by his former Rich Gang colleagues.

In a pompous display, Ssemwanga’s former Rich Gang colleagues threw money in his grave as they bid him farewell in his final send off on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Kayunga.

A one Tugume Gideon from the Human Rights Defenders Association Uganda was apparently not pleased with the act and has petitioned high court seeking a court order to open up the grave and remove the money that was buried with him. He argues that money is legal tender and therefore is not supposed to end with one use.

We will keep you posted.
