Following his anti-homosexuality sentiments, Ghetto Gladiator and Ugandan musician Bobi Wine aka Omubanda Wakabaka has been banned from travelling to the United Kingdom.
The “Time Bomb” singer who was supposed to travel with the Ebonies in August this year for a show in the UK was denied a VISA by the UK authorities. The reason given is that he has continuously preached against human rights and the rights of homosexuals.
Bobi who is focused on promoting African values through his music said that he won’t get changed easily. “We must defend our culture and family, I cannot go to church with my three wives and get wedded but I can see two men being wedded in the same church, what kind of nonsense is this,” Bobi said.
Bobi who had planned to stage shows in the UK on August 9th and 10th will not be able to make it after this. He also hailed Kassim Ouma for beating up a gay man in the US recently a move that didn’t impress many human rights activists.
This morning, Bobi released a press release defending his stance on gays.
