Musician Bebe Cool has been withdrawn from the Club Music Video Awards.
According to the award organisers, the singer, who had been nominated in the Viral Video and Choreography categories, was withdrawn upon his request.
Meanwhile, this comes as no surprise as the “Byebyo” hitmaker had previously announced that he would no longer be part of any local awards after he was accused of using unscrupulous ways to undeservedly win awards.
“I have decided to officially ask all organising committees of any music competition/awards in Uganda to exclude my name in any nomination in Uganda. Let me concentrate on being appreciated beyond my borders rather than home.” He said, adding; “I don’t sing for awards but people.”
