Congolese legendary singer Awilo Longomba has been the first artiste to win a slot to perform for the the Kabaka this year. Awilo who now lives in France will travel with his co-singer and wife Barbra Kanam to grace the event where it is rumored the pair will bag tens of millions for the short time they will be here.
The Buganda government is still inviting other renowned musicians for the event but with no doubt will have a few invites for Ugandan musicians too.
Awilo Longomba hit Ugandan air waves in early 1990’s and his songs still top the list of classics.
