What is dating but making mistakes, learning from them and making them all over again. The dating game is equal parts hard and equal parts lovely, depending on the date that you are on. Ranging from a perfect gentleman who holds open the door to a jerk who ran off just after the starters, you get them all. And the tough part is you need to experience them all to appreciate what you have. From the horrible first date to a perfect candle night dinner, here are six kinds of dates every one needs to go on and learn from. Ready? Here goes…
1. The perfect date
Think candlelight, think champagne, think gentleman who pulls out the chair… whether or not you like the fancy works, you, at least once, need to go on this date to figure out what the big deal is all about. If you like it, you can keep recreating it and if you don’t, well, now you’ll know!
2. The rock concert date
Grab your jacket, put on your sneakers and head out for a totally impromptu, out of your comfort zone date. You need to move beyond the usual dates and see if you like what’s on the other side.
3. The pizza on the couch date
Don’t think of it as a no-date, rather a relaxing evening where you can totally be yourself in your pyjamas. What’s not to like?
4. A jerk date
Yeah, no one will really go on a date where they know they’ll meet a jerk, but once in your life, you need to ignore the gut feeling and go date that jerk. Share a dinner with him, just so you know exactly what to look out for next time.
5. The makeshift date
You are broke, he is broke and you ended up drinking wine on his terrance, blasting some music and looking at the stars. Who says romance has to cost money; plus, you might enjoy this break from the usual dates.
6. The double date
You love your “we-time”, but a double date is the perfect way to meet some new people and get an idea of what the dating culture is like out there. Plus, if your double dates turn out to be total douche bags you have something to laugh about the next time.
